Poolside Bloggin!
Currently sitting at the edge of a pool enjoying a beautiful sunless day. California really is great.
Hackathon Finals were amazing. We were coding against schools like CMU, MIT, Waterloo, UIUC, Michigan, Stanford and Georgia Tech. Some of the awesome projects that other teams made included a client-side version of Map-Reduce (written in JS, other people can connect and become workers), a screen sharing app that required to download on the non-host end, a real-time photo collecting and sharing service and a collaborative music sharing service.
I don’t have much time to write about the actual competition because we’re waiting for Arham to pick us up, but expect more posts in the future.
California, and more specifically Silicon Valley, is definitely where I want to be after I graduate.
